The 7th match of the Karnataka Premier League 2019 will be played between Mysuru Warriors and Belagavi Panthers at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The match starts at 7:00 PM local time (IST) (1:30 PM GMT).
This game will be live on Star Sports and live streaming is available on Hotstar.
Belagavi Panthers will take on the Mysuru Warriors on Monday night as both the teams look for their maiden win of the season. The Panthers went down five only five runs in their first match against Bellary Tuskers. Pathers recovered from early wickets in the chase of a 144-run target. The required rate kept going and made it difficult to chase for the lower-order of the Panthers.
The Belagavi will be boosted by the inclusion of Manish Pandey from Monday. This Indian International player is expected to join the team as hinted by his team’s Instagram post. On the other hand, the Mysuru Warriors were part of the washed-out first game of the season. In their 2nd match, they were bowled out for 152 despite Krishnamurthy Siddharth’s 54-ball 77 during the 167-run chase.
The threat of rain in Bangalore remains the same for the 4th consecutive day of the tournament. However, four out of five matches produced results including three which haven’t got interrupted by the rain. This does inject a bit of confidence in the weather staying away during the match hours.
The continuous rains in Bangalore have not allowed the pitch to get dried. As a result, the moisture is remaining on the pitch and leaving it bit sticky. Anything over 150 will be a good total if the track remains the same as in the previous matches.
Average first innings score: 160 (Completed KPL matches since 2018)
Record of chasing teams: Won – 2, Lost – 4, Tie – 1
