Young Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been making giant strides in the international cricket. The youngster from Uttar Pradesh has made a serious impact at the highest level in such a short span of time. Currently, he is with the Indian team in England playing in the T20I series. He is one of the key members of the national setup in the limited overs form of the game. Kuldeep Yadav has had two highly contrasting games on the English tour thus far.

Coming in to the series, he had a couple of very good outings in Ireland where he bamboozled the Irish batting lineup. He carried his good form in the England series and bowled a mighty impressive spell in the first T20I at Manchester. He bagged a five wicket haul that sealed the fate of the game for the Indian side on the day. When the Indian team took on the English side in the second game at Cardiff, all eyes were on Kuldeep.

Much against all the expectations and the scripts, Kuldeep had a very ordinary time with the ball in the game. India were defending a modest total of 158 and Kuldeep ended up being a very expensive option for his side on the day. He conceded 34 runs in his four overs and failed to take any wicket. Well, that was not all. The wicketless outing was coupled with an error in judgment too.

During the English innings, Kuldeep Yadav took a wrong review call that wasted the review for the Indian team. His decision to take the review was against the approval of the master of DRS, MS Dhoni. The action perspired in the 10th over of the game. On the fifth delivery, he managed to hit the pads of Alex Hales. He appealed but the umpire turned down the appeal.

Kuldeep was convinced that he had his man and asked Kohli to go for the review. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni was seen gesturing that the ball had perhaps pitched outside leg stump. Kohli went with Kuldeep’s instincts and took the review. The replays showed that the ball had indeed pitched outside leg and the review was turned down.
