Lancashire sign Jos Buttler for 3 years

England wicket-keeper batsman Jos Buttler has been consistent over the years. Buttler had a great run in the World T20 2016 in which England were the runners-up. Buttler has been a key player for Lancashire since he moved here from the Somerset in 2013, helping Lancashire to win the NatWest T20 Blast last year. Lancashire extended his contract for 3 more years. The right-hander holds the record for the fastest ODI hundred by an England player. Lancashire’s cricket director and head coach Ashley Giles was quoted by the club’s website saying, “Jos is one of the most talented cricketers in the game and we are really pleased to have him at Emirates Old Trafford for at least the next three years,”

“He has the ability to take games away from the opposition in all formats and he’s one of the leading all-rounders in English cricket. His presence in last year’s NatWest T20 Blast final at Edgbaston was a factor in us winning the competition. Jos is a great guy to have in the dressing room too and his experience at international level really benefits the squad.”

Speaking about his contract extension, Buttler said: “I’ve really loved my time at Emirates Old Trafford and I’m looking forward to the next three years with Lancashire County Cricket Club. I hope to repay the faith shown in me and to help Lancashire win trophies in all competitions.”
