Preview

Afghanistan will lock horns with Pakistan in the 3rd T20I match at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on March 27. Afghanistan are leading the series with two wins from two matches so far and would look forward to making it a clean sweep and creating history. On the other hand, Pakistan will be playing this match for their respect and would like to win at least one match in this series.

In the last game, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat. They did not get the start they would have hoped for, as they lost two wickets within the first over of the match. Soon, they lost the third wicket and struggled to accumulate runs in the powerplay.
They were, however, rescued by the heroics of Imad Wasim, who played a steady knock of 64 runs off 57 balls and remained unbeaten. A cameo from the captain, Shadab Khan, also helped Pakistan post a decent total of 130 runs for the loss of six wickets. Afghanistan got a much better start to their chase than their counterparts. The innings was going ahead quite slowly, but they didn’t lose too many wickets in the process. Quickfire cameos from Zadran and Nabi helped Afghanistan cross the line, and they won with seven wickets in hand.

Afghanistan won the first game, which was their first win over Pakistan in any format. By winning the second game, they have earned an unassailable lead against the arch-rival. They have an excellent opportunity to create history in this game.
