Preview

Bengaluru Blasters will lock horns with Hubli Tigers in the 7th match of the Maharaja T20 League 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on August 16. Bengaluru Blasters have played just one game in which they lost and are in the fifth position. On the other hand, Hubli Tigers have won both their matches and are at the top of the table.

Bengaluru Blasters had played against Shivamogga Lions in their last match, where Bengaluru Blasters won the toss, and they elected to field. The Lions were on a roll as they aggressively approached the innings. However, they slowed down after the fall of the first wicket but did manage to pick the pace back up and amassed a huge total of 201 runs. Blasters, on the other hand, started horribly as they lost both their openers on ducks. The middle order tried to score some runs but eventually fell short of the target by 36 runs, hence losing the match.

Hubli Tigers had squared off against Gulbarga Mystics in their last encounter, where the Hubli Tigers won the toss, and they elected to field. Mystics started decently but were quite cautious in their approach. Several of their batters got starts, but none of them could convert those into bigger totals and were bowled out for a total of 138 runs. Tigers, in their chase, lost a wicket early but did not lose their track and had a brilliant second-wicket partnership. They won the match comfortably by a margin of seven wickets with over 28 balls to spare.
