Galle Gallants will take on Colombo Kaps in match No. 3 of the ongoing Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo on Saturday, July 18.

Dasun Shanaka's Galle Gallants started their campaign with a comprehensive 36-run win against the Jaffna Kings in the curtain raiser. They posted 213/6 before dismissing Jaffna Kings for 177. Charith Asalanka top-scored with a 38-ball 65 for the Gallants. Meanwhile Sahan Arachchige, Dasun Shanaka, Sam Harper, and Mohammad Nawaz chipped in with exhilarating cameos. With the ball, Eshan Malinga was the pick of the bowlers, as he finished with figures of 4/26 in 3.4 overs.

Meanwhile, Colombo Kaps will be in action for the first time this season on Saturday. They have a very strong side, with Kusal Mendis being the captain. James Neesham, Ben McDermott, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman are a few overseas players to keep an eye on. As far as domestic players are concerned, all-rounders Janith Liyanage, Milan Rathnayake, and Kaminda Mendis are players to watch out for.
