Preview

India (IND) will be up against England (ENG) in the fourth Test of the England tour of India at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi from February 23. The series is being led by the proud Indian team who won the last game by the biggest margin ever in their Test Cricket history. They lead the series 2-1 right now and would be looking to seal the series with a win here.

These teams had squared off against each other in the third match of the series, where India won the toss and elected to bat. Tottering at 33 for three, India were saved by the sensational partnership between skipper Rohit Sharma and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as centuries from both of these took the team to a total of 445. Ben Duckett was the lone batter with the true attacking mindset as he blasted off to 153 because of which England were able to reach 319 after a brilliant bowling performance by the Indian bowlers, especially Mohammed Siraj.

Coming to bat once again, Yashasvi Jaiswal dominated the proceedings again as he propelled to yet another double century. He was well-aided by Shubhman Gill who missed out on his century by an unfortunate run-out and Sarafaraz, who made another record for registering fifties in both the innings on debut as India posted an unreachable target of 557. As expected, England could not reach the total but what was unexpected was the way they folded. They showed absolutely no resistance at all as it barely took more than one session to send them packing as India registered a win by 434 runs, their biggest in Test history.
