Jaffna won the first qualifier on Wednesday against Kandy Falcons by 24 runs based on the DLS method. Colombo won the eliminator against Galle Gladiators by seven wickets after chasing down the target of 109 runs in 16.5 overs. They defeated Kandy Falcons by six wickets in the second qualifier game on Thursday.
