Preview

Joburg Super Kings will lock horns with MI Cape Town in the 29th match of the SA20 League at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on February 6. JOH has been in good form recently, winning three of their last five games, whereas MICT have lost four of their previous matches. Super Kings are in the second position in the standings with five wins from nine matches. Cape Town have lost six games from the nine they have played and are languishing at the bottom of the table.

Super Kings went on against Sunrisers Eastern Cape, where they won the toss and chose to bat. They put up a good total of 160 at the loss of six wickets with the help of a superb knock from their captain, Faf du Plessis. Apart from Bavuma and Markram, no one from Eastern Cape got starts, and they could only manage 136 at the end of 20 overs, and hence Super Kings won by 24 runs. On the other hand, Cape Town squared off against Pretoria Capitals in their last match, where Capitals won the toss and elected to field. Cape Town managed to put up a decent total of 159, owing to a good knock from Rassie van der Dussen. Capitals did not start well with the chase, but a quickfire innings from Rilee Rossouw set the tone, and Capitals won the game on the last ball of the match by just one wicket.
