Kandy Falcons will take on Colombo Stars in qualifier 2 of the Lanka Premier League 2022 on Thursday (December 22) at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Colombo Stars are coming into this game after defeating Galle Gladiators in the eliminator stage by seven wickets after the innings were reduced to 18 overs due to rain. Galle could manage only 108 runs which Colombo chased down in 16.5 overs. Kandy lost the qualifier one by 24 runs against Jaffna Kings. Kandy made 143 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, with Pathum Nissanka being the highest-scorer. Jaffna made 98 runs for three wickets in 11 overs before the rain interruption, and Jaffna won the game by 24 runs based on the DLS method. Kandy have defeated Colombo in both league games; however, Colombo will have the edge over Kandy because of the winning momentum.
