Derbyshire started rather slowly, further worsened by a heap of wickets in the first powerplay. They had lost four wickets by the time they scored 49 runs but were saved by a brilliant fifth-wicket partnership. This helped them post a decent total of 151 runs on the board. Northamptonshire lost a wicket early but didn’t put a foot wrong after that. They easily chased down the total with 12 balls to spare and won the match by six wickets.
