High-flying Mumbai Indians Women (MI-W) will clash against struggling Gujarat Giants Women (GUJ-W) in the 12th match of the Women's Premier League 2023 (WPL) at Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium on March 14. Mumbai Indians recorded a fourth straight win by beating UP Warriorz in their last game to continue their dominance in the league.

In-from Saika Ishaque took three wickets, and Kiwi all-rounder Amelia Kerr bagged two to restrict the Warriorz to 159 runs for six wickets. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur smashed 53* off 33, and Natalie Sciver-Brunt added 45* off 31 to chase the target with eight wickets and 15 balls remaining. A win helped them to further cement their top spot in the points table with eight points from four games.

In their last game, the Gujarat Giants suffered a big 10-wicket defeat against Delhi Capitals. They were restricted to just 105/9 while batting first, with Kim Garth top-scoring 32* off 37. Then the Capitals easily chased the target in just 7.1 overs without losing a wicket. They remain in the fourth position in the league table with just one win from four games so far.
