The Kings have won four out of seven games and are placed in the sixth place points table. They are coming into this game after defeating Mumbai Indians in their last game by 13 runs. The Kings scored 214 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs while batting first, with the help of a half-century from Sam Curran. Harpreet Singh also made some significant contributions with the bat for the Kings. In reply, MI could score only 201 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh was the star of the night for the Kings as he picked four wickets for 29 runs in four overs.

The Super Giants won four out of seven games and are placed in fourth place in the points table. In their last game against Gujarat Titans, the Super Giants failed to chase down the target of 136 runs and fell short of the target by seven runs.
