Preview

Toronto Nationals will be up against Vancouver Knights in the 21st match of the Global T20 Canada at the CAA Centre in Brampton on August 3. Toronto Nationals have played a total of six matches where they have won just two and are fifth in the rankings. On the other hand, Vancouver Knights have won three matches from six that they have played and are in the fourth position.

Toronto Nationals squared off against Montreal Tigers in their last encounter, where Toronto Nationals won the toss and elected to bowl. Even before a ball could be bowled, the match was affected by rain and was reduced to six overs a side. The Tigers started aggressively, with both their openers looking good. They put up a strong total of 77 runs in six overs. Nationals started cautiously and were a little slow to approach the target. They did not lose too many wickets but could not score runs either and, as a result, fell short of the target by 23 runs.

Vancouver Knights had played against Montreal Tigers in their last match, where the toss was won by Montreal Tigers, who elected to bat. The Tigers did not start well and were struggling to score runs. Four of their batters got starts but could not convert them into bigger totals and, as a result, were bowled out at a below-average total of 99 runs. In reply, the Knights did lose a wicket early but did not fumble in their way. They had a fantastic second-wicket partnership that put them in the driver’s seat. They won the match easily by nine wickets with more than five overs to spare.
