Group B’s Worcestershire will be fighting against Warwickshire in the 35th match of the English One Day Cup, 2023 at the County Ground New Road in Worcester on Aug 13. Worcestershire last locked their horns with Gloucestershire, where Gloucestershire won the toss and elected to bowl. Worcestershire opened brilliantly with the opener G Roderick hitting 137 runs. He was followed by J Libby who scored 89 runs and L van Beek, who made 41 runs. They lost seven wickets and scored 375 runs at the end of their inning. When Gloucestershire came to bat, they opened below par with openers just scoring 16 and 38. J Taylor scored the highest (121) runs, followed by Tom Price (43) and Z Akhter (27). The team got all out on 290, thereby Worcestershire winning the match by 85 runs. Logan van Beek picked a four-wicket haul, Pat Brown got two wickets, and Ben Gibbon, Josh Baker and Jake Libby scalped one wicket each.

 

Warwickshire, on the other hand, fought with Glamorgan in their last game, where Warwickshire won the match by 24 runs. Glamorgan won the toss and elected to bowl. Robert Yates from Warwickshire scored a century, which was followed by Ed Barnard with 79 runs, and Will Rhodes with 44 runs. They lost seven wickets and scored a total of 331 runs. When Glamorgan came to bat, Sam Northeast scored 69 runs, followed by B Kellaway (67), K Carlson (61) and B Root (56). Glamorgan got all out on 307 runs, thereby losing the match by 24 runs. Hannon-Dalby picked four wickets, Ed Barnard scalped three wickets, Craig Miles got two wickets, and Jake Lintott got one.
