The test match hangs in balance as both India and England finish their first innings close to others. India 4 overs into their second batting chance were at 11 for no loss it was time for lunch day 3. Whole of the English team and the two Indian openers Murli Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan at 0 (13b) & 10 (11b 2×4) respectively. As they walked off the ground staff took charge of the park and wicket.
A surprising video of a groundsman walking straight at the pitch with a huge broom started dusting it off. It was unbelievable scene as this would surely damage the pitch big time. The shoes he had on would surely damage the wicket considerably in favor of the home team.
As soon as the video was out, Kevin Petersen who has been out of the scheme of things took to twitter to show his disgust and shock by the incident.
I cannot believe what I’ve just seen on TV from one of the ground staff! #EngvInd

“@michaelw1360: @KP24 dragging his foot down the wicket, how he get away with that. Unbelievable” he cannot! He knew what he was doing! — Kevin Pietersen (@KP24) July 19, 2014
The authorities woke up soon and the Lords official twitter account tweeted:
RE: the groundsman, MCC admits a genuine, honest mistake, and there was no intent to damage the pitch. #EngvInd

They are denying it to be intentional but something so much in favor of the home team done at a very crucial moment in the test match surely raises eye brows. Was the grounds man so much unaware or absent minded that he did this un-knowingly or was it intentional? In sheer disbelief we look out for the answer.
