However, three days before his birthday, Dhoni got married to the love of his life, Sakshi, and the adorable couple is celebrating its 11th wedding anniversary today. No wonder, the wishes from the fans have flooded for the couple.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has become a rare phenomenon these days on the field having retired from international cricket. He only features in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and prefers to stay away from the limelight for the rest of the year. However, his wife keeps giving his updates or his glimpse on social media, especially Instagram.

Coming back to their wedding anniversary, among all the wishes, CSK’s official Twitter handle’s adorable wish has caught the attention. The franchise posted an old picture of Dhoni and Sakshi together and termed them as King and Queen in their wish. “The love that we #yellove! Super happy anniversary to our King and Queen! #WhistlePodu,” the tweet read.

Here’s the tweet:

MS Dhoni to take the field next in September

Meanwhile, the fans will get to witness their favourite player MS Dhoni on the field again in the second leg of the IPL 2021. The tournament was postponed due to rising cases inside the bubble and now the remaining 31 matches are set to be played in the September-October window. The possible start date of the competition is September 19 while the final is likely to take place on October 10 as of now.

CSK have done well in seven matches played so far winning five and lost two. They are currently at the second place in the points table and look the front-runners to make it to the playoffs this season after missing out last season. However, Dhoni has only led the team this season and has preferred to promote the other players in a bid to build the team for the future.
