The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2021 will be the second edition of the high-profile tournament. Five teams are all set to battle it out against each other in the league in a round-robin format. Under this, each of the teams will play the other team twice and the top four teams on the points table will eventually advance to the semi-finals.

The winners of the semi-finals will then lock horns with each other for the finals of the LPL. Jaffna Stallions (now Jaffna Kings) are the defending champions of the tournament. The team had faced Galle Gladiators in the summit clash wherein they registered a victory by 53 runs.

The LPL has been postponed several times owing to the ongoing pandemic. However, the second edition of the mega event is now all set to commence from December 5.
