Team India is firmly on command in the ongoing second Test against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The Kiwis were 140/5 at stumps on Day 3, needing 400 more runs to win this contest. With the track deteriorating with time, the home team’s win is nothing but inevitable. In fact, the game is all but likely to wrap up on Day 4.

Meanwhile, the game has provided fans a lot of entertainment. While Mayank Agarwal put up a batting exhibition and slammed a brilliant hundred, Ajaz Patel scripted history by becoming only the third bowler to take all 10 wickets on offer in a Test innings. Besides the on-field battle, the game also had some controversial moments. Kohli’s dismissal in India’s first innings ignited a debate in the cricket world.

As Kohli was adjudged out despite edging the ball, he expressed his disappointment with the umpire’s verdict while walking back. The Indian skipper had a moment with the umpire on Day 3 of the contest as well. He was fielding on this occasion. It was the 16th over of New Zealand’s second innings and Axar Patel was operating with the ball.

Virat Kohli not happy with the umpire once again

The left-arm spinner bowled a skiddy delivery which foxed both batsman Ross Taylor and keeper Wriddhiman Saha, and the ball raced towards the boundary. As the umpire reckoned the Taylor has edged the ball, he signaled it runs instead of byes. The decision left Kohli perplexed and he didn’t hold back in expressing his displeasure.

He even took a cheeky dig at the umpire by sarcastically asking him to exchange positions. His remarks were caught in the stump microphone, and the video of the same has now gone viral on social media. “Ye kya karte hain yaar ye log yaar… Main udhar aajata hu tum idhar aajao (What are these guys doing. Let me come there and you come here),” presumably taking a dig at the umpires for their errors.

Meanwhile, the first game of the series ended in a draw. Hence, the winner of this game would also walk away with the series win. While India would like to end the proceedings soon, New Zealand will battle for pride.
