The Indian Cricket team’s defeat in the semi-finals of the recently-concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has come as a huge shock for the entire nation. The team had entered the tourney as the hot favorites but unfortunately couldn’t get past the semi final barrier. Even though the defeat took place around three months ago, the fans are still unable to lay aside the instance from their memories.

One of the main reasons behind so much hype regarding this defeat is also the fact that the Men In Blue, who had dominated the whole tournament, couldn’t hold their calm in the semis and were brutally bundled out due to the pressure of big occasions. Barring a few like Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni, the whole Indian batting line-up were given a run for their money by the Kiwi bowlers. At one point of time in the game, the Indian side had scored just 5 runs at a loss of 3 wickets with the famous top-3 back into the pavilion.

The Indian skipper Virat Kohli, who is a master of such situations, also couldn’t hold his nerves and was dismissed at the score of just 1 run. As a result, the Delhi cricketer has received a tremendous amount of criticism in the last few months. He has been trolled all over the world for his inability to handle the pressure of big games.

Kohli gets trolled again

Meanwhile, the makers of the popular sitcom Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah also used this defeat as content for their show. In the episode no. 2828, the characters were supposed to solve a riddle which had conditions like, “Humesha jeetne wala” (the one who always wins). The people in the show, at first, guessed Virat Kohli as the answer.

However, what happened next was way too savage. Another person of the show declined this answer and said that it couldn’t be the 30-year-old as he has recently faced defeat in the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. This series of events turned out to be quite hilarious and made the plot viral amongst the aficionados.
