Mandeep Singh almost kills the spider-cam, Kohli bamboozled

Punjab’s young sensation Mandeep Singh has been around the IPL circuit for quite a while now and is playing a good role for RCB this season. He is getting to play the finisher’s role and has already stroked some fine knocks coming in the middle order. He has been one of their most consistent players in the first six games this edition.

He once again repaid the faith entrusted by Kohli and smacked a wonderful 17-ball 32 against Chennai Super Kings. Apart from that, he’s an excellent fielder as well and took the all-important catch of Suresh Raina at the point. But what he did after the dismissal came almost killed the spider-cam loitering around the ground and left his skipper in shock.

After picking up Raina’s wicket, the team was all in celebrations. Mandeep, who held possession of the ball at that point, threw the ball in the air to hand it over to the umpires. But he didn’t spot the spider-cam on the way and accidentally managed to strike it. The ball ricocheted off the spider-cam and Virat Kohli in the background had both his hands on his head.

MS Dhoni and Ambati Rayudu haunt Bangalore

It was an MSD massacre at the Chinnaswamy on Wednesday which made the entire cricketing universe go bonkers. Accompanying him to complete the mission impossible was the in-form Ambati Rayudu, who registered two consecutive 75+ scores for the first time in his IPL career.

Despite finding themselves in a precarious situation at 74/4, Rayudu and Dhoni steered the 2-time champions to a stellar victory at the Chinnaswamy. The duo added 101 runs for the 5th wicket and MS Dhoni remained unbeaten on 70 off 34 balls, which eventually earned him the player of the match award.

But the Mandeep incident was a funny moment, one of the many IPL keeps providing every year. Despite that disappointing loss to Chennai Super Kings, here’s the video of that incident which might put a smile back on the faces of the RCB fans.
