This CrickingDuels Fantasy guide is for the match 52 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season which will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Delhi Daredevils (DD). For a change, this will be an inconsequential game in this edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The hopes of the hosts qualifying for the playoffs have been thrashed and the Men in Yellow are already through and will be looking to seal their position in the top two.

But by no means, this game could be less than a thrilling encounter as both the teams will have a point to prove. Shreyas Iyer will be expecting that his players put up a decent show against one of the strongest sides in the tournament. MS Dhoni, on the other hand, has a few issues to sort out with the bowling attack as they have leaked runs at fast pace. It is a good opportunity for them to try out a few things ahead of the playoffs and be ready for the real action which starts next week. Here we bring to you the CrickingDuels Fantasy guide for the game:

Delhi Daredevils (DD) vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK):

Batsmen

I am going with four in-form batsmen from both the sides in this match. Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw have been amazing this season and it would be a mistake to not have the duo in the line-up. The other two are from CSK who have been in contrasting form. Ambati Rayudu has been brilliant this year and his consistency has been superb, while Raina has been blowing hot and cold and I am backing him to come good in this match. I have left out Jason Roy who has done nothing after the one-off knock against Mumbai.

All-Rounders

Shane Watson has played his best cricket in any season of the IPL this year. He has contributed to the team’s cause with both bat and ball. His assault at the top is always crucial and is likely to make the difference again. Vijay Shankar has shown some good skills in the death overs in the recent past which forces me to take him. Not many would’ve picked him and his points in any department would be a bonus for me.

Wicketkeeper

There are two worthy choices in this department. Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni have higher strike-rates this season. While the former has been striking the ball with fierce power, the latter is finishing games like a boss rediscovering himself. I am going with Pant only because he bats at 4, one position higher than Dhoni. You can also go with the CSK skipper as he can also give more points.

Bowlers

For the first time in my team, I am picking Sandeep Lamichhane who impressed everyone in his maiden outing in the cash-rich league. Trent Boult is the other Delhi bowler in my line-up and he is capable of picking wickets upfront and then come back at the death to keep the lid on the run-scoring. Deepak Chahar returned from injury in the last game and made an immediate with the new ball. David Willey is the last player in my team and again this is a risky pick from me. His slower balls can fox the batsmen at the crucial stages of the game and it won’t be easy to play shots against his bowling.
