KXIP owner Preity Zinta had a live chat with Indian batsman and KXIP skipper KL Rahul on Instagram. In fact, Zinta had to wait for more than 9 minutes for Rahul to actually join her. Zinta even hilariously said that the “fruit of waiting is sweet”, as she waited for Rahul to join in.

The owner and skipper of the Punjab side had a chat for more than 40 minutes where Rahul spoke highly of Rohit Sharma and said that he is in ‘awe’ of watching the ‘Hitman’ bat. Rahul also threw light upon his injury status. However, the session was not without trolls. A player, who was not even a part of the chat was trolled by a fan on the chat show.

It is a known fact that Glenn Maxwell endured a torrid run in the 2020 edition of the IPL. The Punjab franchise had splashed a sum of INR 10.75 Crores on Maxwell only for him to flop in the 13th IPL edition. The belligerent Australian batsman could aggregate just 108 runs in the entire tournament at an abysmal average of 15.43.

However, as soon as Maxwell put on the Australian colors, he was back amongst the runs. In the three match ODI series against India, the right-hander plundered 167 runs at an average of 83.50, at a strike rate of close to 200(194.19). Even in the T20I series that followed, Maxwell scored a blazing half century in the third T20I.

A fan takes a Hilarious dig at Glenn Maxwell

During the show, a fan was quick to state to the KXIP owner that it was time for the franchise to remove Maxwell. “Maxiii ko hatao”, read the humorous comment from the fan.

The Punjab side suffered a horrible run in the 2020 edition of the IPL held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Even though Rahul won the Orange Cap and scored 670 runs, the Punjab side failed to qualify for the playoffs stage and finished at the sixth place. KL got ruled out of the current Test series against Australia due to a wrist injury.
