Maxwell-Finch, Gibbs-Clarke indulge in banters on Twitter over the Nagpur pitch: The pitch at Nagpur for the India v South Africa 3rd Test has not just troubled the batsmen who are participating, but the ones who are not even a part of the match have cited their concern over the quality of Test cricket that will prevail with such wickets being rolled out. While Matthew Hayden and Tom Moody were criticizing the pitch, big-hitting batsman, Glenn Maxwell called the wicket a diabolical. Australian teammates Maxwell and Aaron Finch got involved in a friendly banter on Twitter and it was followed by another one between Michael Clarke and Herschelle Gibbs.
The second day of the 3rd Test of the India v South Africa series at Nagpur saw as many as 20 wickets go down and most of which were accounted by the spinners. India first bowled out South Africa for 79 and were later all down for 173. The hosts set the visitors a tricky target of 310 to chase in the 4th innings, but they started poorly having already lost a couple of wickets in the form of opener Stiaan van Zyl and night watchman Imran Tahir who once again came in to bat ahead of skipper Hashim Amla.
The debate was hot throughout the day as on contradiction to what the world wants to see, the ball and more so the turning ball has dominated the proceedings at Nagpur and throughout venues in this series.
Here is Maxwell and Finch’s conversation:
I love watching test cricket in India. Wickets falling, fielders all around the bat, ball turning massive!!

Here is Gibbs’ reply to Michael Clarke:
Good cricket = Something for everyone. Swing and seam early, good for batting, spin day 3,4,5. Someone wins and someone loses

@MClarke23 why not something completely different pup? No test should ever be the same just for the sake of lasting 5 days..
— Herschelle Gibbs (@hershybru) November 26, 2015
Sure, don't mind that buddy. Different country, different conditions. https://t.co/JvjkPGXKn0
