Meet Tharun Sudhir who matches Dwayne Leverock and Rahkeem Cornwall

The game of cricket has witnessed a lot of overweighted cricketers. But very few of them have managed to match the likes of Dwayne Leverock from Bermuda and Rahkeem Cornwall from West Indies. However, Tharun Sudhir who featured in the recent Karnataka Chalanachitra Cup this year possesses the ability to match them. He resembles Dwayne and Rahkeem in terms of weight and clearly, the duo was remembered when Sudhir stepped out on the field.

Tharun Sudhir, interestingly, not a professional cricketer and only played the KCC tournament which was organised for the people from the film industry this year. Sudhir is a prominent actor and writer in the Kannada film industry but was remembered for his bowling in the competition. The video of the same is also going viral as the fans are lauding his efforts on the field.

Tharun featured for the Kadamba Lions this year and played alongside the legendary actor Kichcha Sudeeep in the tournament. The likes of Adam Gilchrist and Virender Sehwag also participated in the competition along with some of the local players. Sehwag featured for the Kadamba Lions as both the former cricketers entertained the crowd to the hilt.

Who is Sudhir?

Tharun Sudhir is a prominent actor, director and writer in Kannada and is known for directing the films like Rambo and Chowka in the fraternity. He is currently working on his much-awaited upcoming movie D 53 which is set to hit the theatres on April 19 next year.

Sudhir playing the game recalled the memories of Leverock from Bermuda who had taken a sensational catch to dismiss Sehwag in the 2007 World Cup in the Caribbean islands. While he is retired from the game now, Cornwall has continued the legacy and had hogged the limelight for his weight during the Caribean Premier League (CPL) last year.
