At the time, Michael called it a day from his international career following Australia’s embarrassing Ashes loss to England while everyone praised him for his service his former teammate Andrew Symonds had said that ‘Clarke was not a natural leader’.

“Andrew Symonds went on TV to criticise my leadership. I’m sorry but he is not a person to judge anyone on leadership,” Clarke wrote in his response in the book.

“This is a guy who turned up drunk to play for his country. It’s pretty rich for him to be throwing rocks.”
