Mitchell McClenaghan, the right-hand fast bowler from New Zealand looks quite active on social media these days. He is spending much of his time interacting with his fans during the quarantine phase. Recently, he was asked to pick the best team other than  Mumbai Indians. And, he came out with a hilarious to that question left everyone in splits.

The cricket has come down to a standstill due to the Coronavirus outbreak. BCCI has taken a strong step as they have postponed the 13th edition of Indian Premier League 2020 to mid-April. However, the decision is yet to be taken if the tournament will be played in alarming conditions or not.

Meanwhile, the players, who were excited to take part in the cash-rich league are now sitting back at their homes and spending time with their family. They can’t go outside as the government have asked the people to keep social distancing until the COVID-19 threats come under control.

Also, many cricketers have come out and interacting with fans on social media. Recently, a fan took to his Twitter handle and asked Mitchell McClenaghan about his favourite team other than Mumbai Indians. The fan post read, “Which is your favourite team in IPL other than mi??.”

Soon, the Kiwi pacer came out with a hilarious response to the fan’s question and said the team of umpires in IPL. Mitchell McClenaghan took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “Umpires.”

McClenaghan quite a successful bowler in the Indian Premier League as he has grabbed a total of 71 wickets in his 56 games with one four-wicket haul. He has also been the part of Rohit Sharma-led side that became IPL champions in 2015, 2017 and 2019.

The Kiwi pacer’s best season came in 2015 when he grabbed 18 wickets in his 12 outings for Mumbai Indians. In that season, he left everyone in surprise with his brilliance on the field. In that edition, he was picked as the replacement for injured Corey Anderson in the team and the rest is history.
