The T10 league marked its end with the Kerala Kings winning the title after four days of action. Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir who was a part of the Maratha Arabians team relishes having a wonderful time with all-time great and mentor Wasim Akram.

Amir had earlier said that he was looking forward to a great experience under the guise of his idol. Following the conclusion of the high-action short-lived tournament, he mentioned that it was a great experience for him. He remarked that it turned out to be a huge learning curve for them.

Great experience

“It was great to have some time with Akram,” Amir said, as quoted by Gulf News.

The left-arm pacer disclosed the different bowling variations and skills he learnt from Wasim Akram. “He guided me on the importance of the skills that is needed and on how to focus on every ball and attach more skills to every delivery. I learnt more on variations which is vital and so are yorkers and pace variations,” Amir said.

He stated that there was some improvement in his game every time he walked out to play. Leading the Pakistani attack, Amir is expected to be a key feature against the Kiwi as they tour New Zealand next month.

Speaking about the ups and downs, the youngster emphasised on the importance of learning from his failures. He yearned to keep getting better with every game.

“In cricket you may have both good and bad days, but you have to keep on learning from them. In cricket, the learning process should never stop. I want to better my performance every day,” Amir stated.

The 25-year-old has been an absolutely magnificent bowler for Pakistan over the recent years. He has taken close to 200 wickets in his international career. Recently during a talk show, even Indian skipper Virat Kohli described Mohammad Amir as the best bowler he faced.
