Mohammad Azharuddin's son Asaduddin gets hitched to Sania Mirza's sister Anam

December 11, 2019, proved to be a happy day for the Mirza family as tennis player Sania Mirza’s younger sister Anam Mirza got married to former India captain and current Hyderabad Cricket Association President Mohammad Azharuddin’s son, Mohammad Asaduddin in a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad, from where both the families hail.

Sania and Azharuddin along with son Asad had previously met the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to extend an invitation for the wedding reception. Also present was Sania’s father and a photo was shared on social media. On Monday, the family had organized a Mehendi ceremony for the bride and other rituals were completed.

After days of pre-wedding celebrations, Anam Mirza and Asad tied the knot in marital bliss on December 11 in a traditional, lavish ceremony in the couple’s home town of Hyderabad. Anam turned the bride in a lilac and gold outfit, and Asad complemented her beige and gold sherwani. The newlyweds took to social media photo-sharing platform Instagram to announce the wedding, sharing pictures from their big day.

Posting a beautiful message, the cricketer wrote, “Finally married the love of my life.” While Anam went for a classic “Mr and Mrs” caption for her post. The city’s posh area Jubilee Hills turned all red and gold for the ceremony and it was decorated with huge chandeliers and red roses and photos from the venue were shared the couple’s hashtag AbBasAnamHi on social media. The groom made his entrance on a horse with his baraat.

Sania Mirza had hosted a bachelorette party in Paris and also organized a bridal shower in Hyderabad, performing her duties as the bridesmaid. Also present was tennis ace’s son Izhaan Mirza Malik also won hearts in his adorable traditional outfits. His father Shoaib also shared photos of festivities, despite being involved in the BPL 2019-20 in Dhaka. The families are also hosting a reception for the newlyweds today, for which invitations have been sent out to the crème de la crème of the political, entertainment and sports world.
