The cricket fraternity has seen national team coaches giving their players a dressing-down for performing badly in the games. However, this is just a common thing that happens in almost every team. After a severe reprimand, the players of the respective teams would go on to hit the peak performance in the following games in a bid to prove themselves worthy of playing for the national cricket team.

On the dark side, there have been rare circumstances where players launched a rebellion against the captain behind the scenes. Situations like these ruin the entire complexion of the team as there will be no unity among the players. More than a decade ago, an infamous incident like this has happened in the Pakistan national cricket team.

Misbah-ul-Haq was the one who led the mutiny: Mohammad Yousuf

Former Test cricketer Mohammad Yousuf, who is well aware of the incident that took place in the year 2009, has exposed the current Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq for the manner in which he had staged an infamous conspiracy against the then Pakistan skipper Younis Khan.

Yousuf hit out at Misbah multiple times over the recent past years. He was also unhappy when Misbah was named the head coach of the national team last year. Digging a tad deep about the incident, more than 10 players of the Pakistan national team had gathered and locked themselves in a room while also sketching a secret plan against Younis Khan, who was allegedly too strict with the players.

In fact, the players had also sworn on the ‘Holy Quran’ to not leak the names of the rebels. But little did they know that the news got leaked to the media just minutes after their team meeting came to a close. While several cricketers have confessed over the years that they were part of the rebellion, the actual identity of the ringleader had still remained unknown.

However, Mohammad Yousuf in a recent TV show did not hesitate to spill the beans as he disclosed that Misbah-ul-Haq was the one who led the rebellion as he was upset over Younis Khan reprimanding him for his slow batting performance during the 2009 World T20 tournament.
