Mohammed Amir forayed into international cricket as a teenager and immediately, captured the imaginations of the cricketing world with the pace and movement he generated. However, fate had something gruesome in store for him as he got himself tangled in a crime after being found guilty of spot-fixing during Pakistan’s tour of England in 2011.
Thereafter, the left-arm seamer served a ban of five years after which he staked his claim back into the national team. He made his comeback during the 2016 Asia Cup in Bangladesh against India. He made early inroads into the star-studded Indian lineup and dismissed the likes of Ajinkya Rahane, Rohit Sharma and Suresh Raina, which earned him stupendous figures of 4-0-18-3.
Thereafter, he has played all three formats for his country and has featured on a consistent basis for them. However, he hasn’t quite been able to live up to the promise he showed earlier in his career. Meanwhile, he has also played some crucial knocks for the national team lower down the order. The Punjab-born cricketer has recently participated in the third edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Narjis’ awe for Amir
He played for the Karachi Kings, who crashed out of the tournament following their defeat against the Peshawar Zalmi in the second eliminator. Nevertheless, Amir impressed during the league with nine wickets in 11 matches at a stunning economy rate of 6.65.
Today, the pacer is celebrating his 26th birthday and Narjis Amir, his spouse, showed love on him with a heartfelt message on Twitter. Amir tied the knots with Narjis, a British-Pakistani girl, in Lahore back in 2016. Here is what Narjis wrote on the auspicious occasion.
“Happy birthday hubby @iamamirofficial you are the happiness of our life may u be blessed with the bestest of everything in the world..we both luv u to the moon n back”
