Mohammed Shami rubbishes wife’s accusations, gives himself a clean chit

The Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami has completely rubbished the accusations made by his wife about him cheating on her and harassing and torturing her domestically. The 27-year old had made his stand clear on Twitter yesterday itself that it’s a conspiracy against him and someone is trying to ruin his Cricket career.

However today he came out in the open and talked to India Today in an exclusive interview in which he said that he has no idea why his wife is saying these things about her. The speedster said since he hasn’t had the opportunity to go into the details of everything, he is not in a position to make an exact statement about every aspect of the controversy, but one thing he can definitely say is that he’s not been involved in any wrongdoing as such.

Shami revealed that he and his wife had a great time on Holi and they even did their shopping together on the auspicious festival. Then he made his way to Dharamshala for a match where he came to know about all this and he is not able to figure out the reason behind this sudden outburst of his wife in the media.

Shami rubbishes claims

According to Shami, if he had been having affairs behind his wife’s back for the last couple of years as she is saying, then one of those girls must have tried to expose him by complaining to his wife at some stage which has not happened. Also, the Whatsapp number that she is talking about from which all those messages have been sent to the girls is actually not his number and anyone who wants can verify it.

But what made it all suspicious at the end of the interview is that Shami admitted if all the accusations turn out to be true and this whole scenario goes in the favor of his wife, he is ready to say sorry to her. This certainly puts a big question mark on Shami’s position because if he is confident that he has never crossed the line and hasn’t done anything that a husband shouldn’t do, why is he already talking about saying sorry?

Meanwhile, Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan has made it pretty clear that she is planning to move to the court of justice with this matter, but there aren’t any reports of her lodging an official police complaint against Shami yet.
