Most 50 plus scores in World Cup 2015 so far: The ICC Cricket World Cup thus far has been more of a batsmen oriented tournament apart from the few low scorers in New Zealand; we have seen most teams score first innings scores in access of 300 and even 400 on multiple occasions.
The batsmen have bfeen enjoying the true bounce that the pitches have, with dry and less juicy grass, the pitch continues to hone the pace and bounce with not much movement on and off it. This allows the stroke-makers to hit the ball on the rise, play flat bat shots, the drives as and when the opportunity pops up without worrying about the lateral movement.

As many as ten batsmen have already scored multiple fifties in the tournament at the point when the most teams have either played 3 or maximum 4 matches. What the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 promises to be is another run feast for the viewers, with batsmen milking the bowlers, who have the first few over’s in their hands and post that have to really bend their backs to extract something out of the wicket.
South African Faf du Plessis is leading the chart with 3 50s in 4 innings, New Zealand Skipper Brendon McCullum equals him with 3 as well. Sri Lankan opener Lahiru Thirimanne also has three half-centuries in the four matches that he has played in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
Apart from the three there are 7 more with multiple half tons registered against their names and those are not only the big guns but a few top class players from the associate teams have also been impressive, in their short journey in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.
