<p>Mushfiqur Rahim has adapted himself in all the three formats of the game and has become a crucial part of the team and has brought success to <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/bangladeshs-mahmudullah-uses-elbow-to-celebrate-after-taking-wicket-in-a-dpl-game/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Bangladesh</strong> </a>with his brilliance. He is the leading run-getter for Bangladesh in test cricket, followed closely by Tamim Iqbal. Success, however, comes with arrogance and Mushi too has shown arrogance in the past. He has done a few things on and off the field to make others believe that.</p>
<p>Everyone remembers how Mushi arrogantly shoved it into the face of Hardik Pandya after hitting him for two consecutive boundaries. Furthermore, after India got eliminated from the same World Cup, he posted a picture on Twitter expressing his happiness upon India’s elimination.</p>

<p>With great talent and success comes arrogance and Ben Stokes is the ideal example for this. As good a cricketer Ben Stokes is, he has never been the one to let things go. He has always expressed his emotions, whether in the right way or not, he definitely has expressed his emotions. He has been at the centre of attraction because of his cricket, as well as his arrogance.</p>
<p>Ben Stokes has single-handedly won matches for England in the past. The recent ones include his World Cup-winning knock against <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/5-biggest-controversies-in-new-zealand-cricket/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>New Zealand </strong></a>in the finals of the World Cup. He also became the Ashes Hero for England when he snatched victory from the jaws of defeat in the 3rd Ashes test. But cricket is not all about fairy tale endings to the games, it is much more than that.</p>
<p>Stokes will not just be remembered for his heroics, he will always have a mixed image in the fans’ mind, his cricket and his arrogance. In the past, on and off the field, he has shown his arrogance which has got him into trouble as well. Stokes has been involved in physical fights outside the clubs, he has been involved in verbal spats with players on the field, he has also been involved with other cricketers on social media. He was also fined recently in the Test series against South Africa where he abused at a fan as well.</p>

<p>Another one in the list of arrogant cricketers is the skipper of Pakistan Cricket Team, Sarfraz Ahmed. If there is one thing we know about Sarfraz, it’s that he is a talkative figure on the pitch. There has been fitness related criticism which the 32-year old has received, however, he has simply ignored all that criticism. The wicket-keeper has shown glimpses of arrogance in the past, on the field as well as off the field.</p>
<p>The stump mic has picked up Sarfraz Ahmed scolding his teammates and getting involved with opposition players. This has also landed the Pakistani skipper in trouble in the past. In 2019, he made a racist remark on the South African pacer, Andile Phehlukawayo, which got him banned for 4 international games. In another incident, his teammate, Hasan Ali, ignored him while he was trying to talk to the pacer for his remarks.</p>
<p>Sarfraz Ahmed led Pakistan to <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/pakistan-capable-of-hosting-t20-world-cup-or-champions-trophy-in-the-next-five-years-ehsan-mani/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Champions Trophy</strong></a> victory in 2017 and that is the only major achievement he has to boast about in his captaincy stint. However, when he did not show results through his captaincy, he was asked to step down as a captain. His arrogance did not allow him to step down as a captain and he was then sacked as Test and T20 captain.</p>

<p>Ravichandran Ashwin has always been a strong figure in cricket, especially with his views. If he takes a stand on something, he makes sure everyone knows where his take on a particular matter is. His strong opinions have changed the opinions of a lot of fans and players all over the world. However, he has also been termed as arrogant by fans all for his actions on and off the field.</p>
<p>Former World Cup winner has received heat from fans because of his arrogance in the past. He received backlash from the fans when he did not thank MS Dhoni for shaping his career and giving him opportunities. In 2018, he made a thank you tweet where he did not mention the Indian legend, <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/mitchell-starc-could-lose-1-53-million-after-lawyers-claim-that-the-pacers-ipl-2018-injury-was-not-unexpected/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>MS Dhoni</strong></a>. Despite the fans asking him to add MS Dhoni’s name, he did not do it until the end.</p>
<p>Another incident which shows his arrogance was when he took a dig at Herschelle Gibbs for match fixing when the South African joked with him on Twitter. Another one of his incidents is when he recently started celebrating before winning the match, and ended up in a losing cause. There have been numerous such incidents which shows Ashwin’s arrogance and he is definitely one arrogant bloke who is loved as well as hated by the fans.</p>

<p>Another Pakistani cricketer to make it to the list is the fast bowler Hasan Ali, who has made some comments in the past. In 2017, he achieved his peak as he was named ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year award. However, success does come with a lot of arrogance and Hasan Ali is another example of that. He was also named PCB’s ODI cricketer of the year in 2018.</p>
<p>Hasan Ali has made the news in the past and it has not just been because of his cricket, but because of his actions. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed was trying to give some advice to his bowler, Hasan Ali, who simply kept ignoring him and walked away. Not only this, but he also walked the ramp after dropping out of the Test series against<a href="https://www.crictracker.com/coronavirus-threat-makes-sri-lanka-shut-its-borders-for-the-british-cricket-fans/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong> Sri Lanka</strong></a> in 2019. Not only has he shown arrogance towards his teammates, but he has shown arrogance in general as well.</p>
<p>Ahead of the Asia Cup match against India, Hasan Ali made some remarks which made him a troll figure on the internet. He claimed that he wants to take 10 wickets against India and with the matches played in UAE, he was confident that he would do so.</p>
<p>However, during the match, the tables turned completely as India thrashed Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Hasan Ali went wicketless in the match. Safe to say, his arrogance had an effect on his performance and he is not the same bowler as his 2017-self.</p>

However, they use their arrogance and aggression to bring the best out of themselves and win the games for their country. Mitchell Starc has always played at the top of his game for his nation and when he shows his arrogance, he backs it up with the performances only he could pull off.</p>
<p>There have been numerous incidents on the field which shows Mitchell Starc’s arrogance, especially when he is on top of his game. There have been incidents of him shutting players after bowling a few balls. He has also been a bit extreme with his wicket celebrations. All of that has made him more arrogant in the eyes of the fans, rather than being an aggressive bloke.</p>
<p>In the past, there have been incidents when he went too far such as the incident with Kieron Pollard in IPL where Pollard almost threw his bat at Starc. Another incident was when he over-celebrated the wicket of Indian opener, Murali Vijay. The celebration was described as an ‘exaggerated celebration’ by ICC. He also never backs down when the team is involved in sledging.</p>
