It will be fair to say that social media has allowed the cricketers to have a better connect with their fans. Not only the players can share their success with their well-wishers they can also get their confidence back in tough times by seeing their fan support. Especially the Asian cricketers who have a large fan following because of the popularity of the game in this part of the world.

People have started questioning his exact contributions to the Indian team. On several occasions, he has been tagged the liability of the team.
Also, his inappropriate statements in the talk-show, Koffee with Karan has put him in the bad light. So nowadays he has been a regular target of the troll army. His every post contains tons of messages where he has been asked to shift his focus to regain his form. Even after getting dropped from the squad Rahul has been mercilessly trolled for enjoying his personal space.
