MS Dhoni doesn't need to do sledging: Shah Rukh Khan

Indian film actor and superstar Shah Rukh Khan was live on star sports show to promote his upcoming movie ‘Raees’. In an exclusive snippet released by Star Sports, the ‘Baadshah of Bollywood’ was asked to name movies based on Indian cricketers.

For Indian leading all-rounder Ravi Ashwin, Shah Rukh said “I think he is a mystery. You never know what Ashwin is doing. He seems so easy and calm and then suddenly bowls those unplayable deliveries, and bats masterfully at times. He called the spinner ‘Paheli’ for being a surprise package.

For Indian opener Rohit Sharma, who is currently nursing an injury, the actor said “I like Rohit’s swag. I like the way he is always cool, calm, collected and completely goes mad at times. He owns the pitch, so he is like a ‘Baadshah’.

The actor also praised Virat Kohli and called him ‘Don’. He said “The grim determination on his face, mind ticking all the time, and the calmness with which he comes at the crease, knowing that he will win it all”.

Talking about the former Indian skipper MS Dhoni, Shah Rukh said he (Dhoni) doesn’t need to do sledging ever. His mind is ticking so fast, I am sure batsmen could hear that. He also added that Dhoni is that guy who can play the last bet, without anyone realising gets a bowler that you never expected to bowl the final over like in the world T20 ( referring to the 2007 ICC T20I World Cup final, where he had asked Joginder Sharma to bowl the final over). He named Mahi “Baazigar” for his decision-making skills on the field, that comes off well more often than not.

India will be playing England at Eden Gardens, Kolkata on Sunday in the 3rd and final ODI match. India have already won the series following a 15-run win in the 2nd ODI at Cuttack.
