MS Dhoni isn’t among the most active players on social media so no matter what the activity is, it garners a lot of attention and makes the news. The former Indian captain recently liked a tweet from a handle InKhabar. It wasn’t one talking about him or the team or about a record but an article from the Hindi portal that claimed they had confirmed report that the upcoming World Cup 2019 that is scheduled to be played in England and Wales is fixed.

The report states that the Virat Kohli led Indian cricket team is slated to win the World Cup and that the outcome of the mega event is predetermined.

The tweet reads- “CONFIRMED: 2019 का आईसीसी क्रिकेट वर्ल्ड कप #ViratKohli की टीम इंडिया जीत रही है Match Fixed @imVkohli @msdhoni @RaviShastriOfc @BCCI @SGanguly99 @sachin_rt @therealkapildev @azharflicks @ianuragthakur @ShuklaRajiv @PawarSpeaks @GautamGambhir @imjadeja”

As vague as the story may sound the article claims that since Virat Kohli got married to Anushka Sharma on December 11, it assures the Indian team a victory in the World Cup. They claim that all the Indian captains who have led the team in the ICC event after marrying were able to take the team to the glory and thus it is certain that they will end up on the podium this time round as well.

Former Indian skipper Kapil Dev who was the first ever captain from the country to win a World Cup had married his wife Roma Bhatiya in 1980 and when they played the World Cup in 1983 they beat all odds and defeated a much celebrated West Indian team to lift the cup.

A similar coincidence repeated itself as Mahendra Singh Dhoni had tied the knot with Sakshi Singh in 2010 and led the national team in the World Cup at home in the following year. They were once again successful in the tournament and thus the portal concludes that the Indian team will once again repeat a similar feat in 2019.
