MS Dhoni once checked the team out of a hotel for Ambati Rayudu

The Chennai Super Kings, after Shane Watson’s hundred against the Rajasthan Royals, Ambati Rayudu stepped up against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Ambati Rayudu played one of the best innings of his cricketing career probably to smack the best bowling unit to all parts of the ground. For the Chennai Super Kings, a different player is stepping up in every game, something which will make the management very happy. It’s also important to take notice that Rayudu’s connection with the CSK is quite an old one.

Rayudu brought Hyderabadi Biryani for the players in 2014

Ambati Rayudu back then was a Mumbai Indians player. The Chennai Super Kings, as a part of their Champions League stint, was in Hyderabad. Ambati Rayudu, who resides in Hyderabad, came to the hotel where the CSK players were staying with home-made Hyderabadi Biryani for all the CSK players, which indeed is a lovely gesture.

But unfortunately for Rayudu, the hotel management didn’t allow Rayudu to enter with the Biryani as outside eatables are not allowed into the hotel. When MS Dhoni got to know the same, he decided to check out of the hotel and alongside a few other teammates like Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo, they tasted the Biryani in the parking lot.

This incident spoke volumes about how much MS Dhoni appreciates people’s efforts and he didn’t want Rayudu’s gesture to go in vain at that point. After all these years, Rayudu is playing with the CSK and is doing a fine job thus far.
