MS Dhoni has been utilizing his time away from the game perfectly, as he was seen exploring various parts of India and now the world with his family. He last played a cricket match in the 2019 World Cup, where he was run out for 50 in the semi-final against New Zealand, which India lost and was eliminated from the tournament.

Since then, he took a sabbatical from the game, serving with the Indian Army and touring India with wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva. They were vacationing in Mussoorie recently with Sakshi’s family and earlier were in Dubai, before coming back to Ranchi to welcome the New Year. Mrs. Dhoni has been sharing daily activities of her husband on Instagram, showcasing his impressive collection of bikes and cars.

Now, the former Indian captain has flown to the Maldives for another vacation, this time along with his friends RP Singh and Piyush Chawla. RP has known Dhoni from his struggling days in domestic cricket and families of all the three cricketers were seen on the beaches of the island nation.

In the latest video shared on social media, MS Dhoni along with RP Singh and Piyush Chawla are seen enjoying some panipuris or golgappas. In the video, Dhoni himself becomes the server and gives panipuris to RP Singh and Chawla, much to the delight of his fans.

IPL 2020 performance will decide MS Dhoni’s Team India future

Given the poor performance of Rishabh Pant in Indian colors, fans have been chanting Dhoni… Dhoni whenever the Delhi keeper makes a mistake or gets out cheaply. Pant has even lost his place in the Test team to Saha and to KL Rahul in T20Is and ODIs, with Virat Kohli going for the part-timer gloveman to get a better balance in the national side.

On MS Dhoni’s return, head coach Ravi Shastri was quoted as saying that a spectacular performance by him in the upcoming IPL 2020 for Chennai Super Kings, might open the doors for him in the T20I side. The Indian team will play a T20 World Cup in Australia in October and will then host the tournament themselves in 2021.

“I have had a conversation with MS and that is between us. He has finished his Test career, he may soon end his ODI career. So, he will be left with T20, he will definitely play the IPL. One thing I know about Dhoni is that he will not impose himself on the team. But if he has a cracking IPL, well, then..” Shastri was quoted as saying by News 18.
