Former India captain MS Dhoni certainly knows how to be in news even when he is not on the field. The wicketkeeper-batsman has been on a sabbatical from the game after India’s disappointing outing in the recently concluded World Cup tournament. Dhoni made a fifty in the team’s loss in the semi-finals to eventual runner-up New Zealand.

MS Dhoni is known for his quick wit and his hairstyle which has changed over the years ever since his debut in 2004 when he sported long hair. He kept that look going well into 2008, when he cut his hair short and then also sported a Mohawk. After winning the 2011 World Cup, MS Dhoni went bald and kept experimenting with his hair, and even sported a salt and pepper look during England series in 2018 complete with a beard.

Recently the Jharkhand-born cricketer was seen in a new look at the Jaipur airport. On Saturday, the Indian cricketer sported a black bandana. He received a warm welcome, as his fans were present to catch a glimpse of their favorite cricket player. Security personnel present at the airport helped him reach his car.

In a video posted on the internet, Dhoni is himself seen asking a female fan of his to move aside, so that he could make his way to his transportation. This shows the affection, love and respect this great cricketer commands from his fans for everything that he has done for the country on and off the field. The 38-year-old player’s future in the game is under speculation following the ICC World Cup.

Instead of going onto the tour of West Indies with the Indian team, Dhoni opted to nurse his injured finger and spent 15 days serving the Indian army in Kashmir with his parachute regiment. He holds an honorary lieutenant colonel position in the Indian Army and had set a brilliant example for his fans.

However, as far as his cricketing future is concerned, Dhoni is holding all the cards close to him and has not confirmed anything, as experts and pundits continue pondering whether he will play the ICC T20 World Cup in 2020 in Australia.
