With some relaxations allowed on the COVID-19 restrictions, there has been an upsurge of celebrities flocking in as tourists to Himachal Pradesh. A few days back, we saw veteran Bollywood actor Anupam Kher visit the capital of the state of Himachal, Shimla. Now, reports suggest that former Indian captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has also arrived in Shimla.

It has also been reported that Dhoni has travelled to the beautiful town of Shimla along with his family and relatives. It has been said that he is traveling along with a total of 12 people, all of whom are stationed at the ‘Heaven’s Home-Stay’ in the Mehli area. This is the second time that Dhoni has visited the town in the past three years.

The Chennai Super Kings skipper was in the town last time around back in 2018. He had come for an ad shoot for a digital payment ad, which was shot at the scenic Mall Road area in Shimla. The skipper was also seen going around riding on the roads of Shimla, on his favorite automobile, a bike, said in a report by News18.

MS Dhoni will be next seen in action when IPL 2021 resumes

Unlike the last time around, MS Dhoni is not in Shimla for any official purpose. It is expected that he will be spending quality time with his family members, who have been under restrictions due to COVID-19 in the past few months. Shimla has seen a significant drop in new COVID-19 cases and this has prompted authorities to lift some restrictions. According to the new rules, the area will not be under section 144 and people come and enjoy the beautiful scenic locations in the hill station.

According to the new guidelines, people can now come into Himachal Pradesh without bringing in a negative RT-PCR Test report. Talking about MS Dhoni, the wicketkeeper-batsman will be next seen in action in the Indian Premier League, which is due to resume in UAE in September. His side, Chennai Super Kings, was second on the points table when the tournament was called off indefinitely due to the rising COVID cases.
