MS Dhoni takes a young fan by surprise with a ‘warm handshake’

MS Dhoni, the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman, has a massive fan following. Whenever he takes the field, be it with the willow or with the keeping gloves, the crowd erupts and cheer for the veteran in unison. The decibels at the venues raise when he smacks the ball to the boundary. The 37-year-old is at the fag end of his career, but that hasn’t affected his fandom by any means.

He plays for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he gets a significant amount of cheering from even the supporters of the oppositions. During a few of the matches, a couple of fans even went on to switch jersey when the Jharkhand-born cricketer strolled out to bat. The venues are swarmed with yellow outfits whenever CSK plies their trade.

Dhoni shows his humble side

Apart from his stupendous cricketing prowess, Dhoni is also admired as an individual. He is a humble, generous and grounded person owing to which his supporters have always taken him as their idol and someone they can look up to for inspiration and motivation. Recently, the cricketer yet another time put forth his down-to-earth character when he interacted with a young girl.

Dhoni was seen sitting on the front seat of a car, wearing the seat belt, while the girl was standing outside. There was a smile of happiness on the girl’s face when she was talking to Dhoni, who may have shared some valuable tips with her about how to succeed in life, weathering all the storms. The girl was also seen nodding her head to whatever the experienced campaigner said.

The conversation took place for quite a significant amount of time. In the end, Dhoni shook her hand and the gesture would’ve definitely have made the young supporter happy. Dhoni closed the car door thereafter and the girl went away with some memory to cherish forever.
