All the hard work, the hype and promotions are paying off. MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic of the Indian ODI and T20I skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni is off to a flying start at the Box Office in India.

Like in a Test match where the first 3 days that are usually better suited for batting are over (the weekend, the best time of business for a movie) and will be interesting to see how it fares here on but for starters, the movie promises to be a blockbuster.

Bollywood business analyst Taran Adarsh was once again up for it as he updated all his followers about the business that the movie did on the 3rd day which was Sunday. He Tweeted – ‘#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory is SENSATIONAL… Packs a SOLID total… Fri 21.30 cr, Sat 20.60 cr, Sun 24.10 cr. Total: ₹ 66 cr. India biz.’

Earlier it had also done substantial business on Friday and Saturday grossing a total of 41.90 crores.

‘#MSDhoniTheUntoldStory is OUTSTANDING on Sat… Fri 21.30 cr, Sat 20.60 cr. Total: ₹ 41.90 cr. India biz… Heading for ₹ 60 cr+ weekend!’

Another aspect that has worked in favor of the makers of the biopic is that there was no other major release this week and it hardly has any competition at the silver screen along with the fact that it gives MS Dhoni fans a chance to watch the story of their hero on the mega screen.

The real test for the movie will start from today i.e. Monday but with the growing hype and excitement around it most people expect it to continue with the trends and gross at least a 100 crore by the end of the first week.

On the coming Friday i.e. 7th October three movies are slated for release but all of them are small to medium budget movies with no major stars which further boosts the chances of MS Dhoni: The Untold Story pocketing more money since it is the best available option for the moviegoers.
