MS Dhoni's latest picture surfaces, seen at a function at Ranchi stadium

Former Indian skipper and wicketkeeper-batsman MS Dhoni was last seen spicing it up in colored outfit during India’s semi-final fixture against New Zealand. In the wake of painful defeat at the hands of the Kiwis in the marquee event in England in July, the 2011 World Cup-winning captain was not seen in cricketing action again. He made himself unavailable for the Indian team selection and had other plans in mind.

The 38-year-old veteran took a sabbatical from international cricket in a bid to join the Indian army regiment. After that, he was spotted in the Indian national cricket team’s dressing room after Virat Kohli-led team registered 202-run innings win over South Africa in the third Test match in Ranchi.

The veteran missed the Indian team’s tour of West Indies including the home series against South Africa, Bangladesh, West Indies, Sri Lanka and Australia respectively. MS Dhoni is also not included in India’s full-fledged tour of New Zealand. He was recently in the headlines after BCCI excluded the former Indian captain from the annual retainer list.

MS Dhoni can still make Indian team comeback after notable performances in the IPL

MS Dhoni might not be seen donning the blues again but the experienced campaigner can definitely turn things around when he will be playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. The fans are hoping that he makes a tremendous impact in the tournament in order to increase his chances to return to the national team for the T20 World Cup tournament in Australia scheduled later this year.

A couple of days ago, clean-shaven MS Dhoni went to offer prayers to the centuries-old idol of Goddess Durga in Deori Maa Temple near his hometown Ranchi. He went there apparently to seek blessings for IPL 2020 in which he will lead Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni’s latest picture is doing the rounds on social media platforms. Information and Public Relations Department Jharkhand took to their official Twitter handle to post the most recent picture which was taken at the JSCA International Cricket Stadium complex.
