MS Dhoni has been one of the most popular figures in Indian cricket history and has led his nation to great heights in international cricket. Ever since making his international debut, Dhoni has been extremely fit and it’s always been a matter of discussion for the ardent Dhoni fans that how he manages to keep himself match fit despite retiring from Test cricket two years ago.

The fact that Dhoni loves to train hard is not unknown among his fans and fellow cricketers. Besides that, he has been following the ongoing India-England Test series with great interest. Dhoni last appeared for Jharkhand in the Vijay Hazare Trophy earlier this year before flying to Australia for an ODI and T20 series.

While speaking to Times of India, Dhoni’s manager Arun Pandey said, “Even when Dhoni is playing for India, he spends most of his time watching the match in the team dressing room. So far, he has mostly followed every session of the India-England Test series. Even if he is busy doing something, his ears and eyes are always hooked on to the match update all the time.”

“After playing cricket for more than a decade, it’s more of a mental side of the game, which Dhoni addresses by watching India play against England. He creates an atmosphere as if he is still inside the dressing room,” added Pandey.

Speaking about Dhoni’s participation with the Jharkhand cricket team, Pandey said, “Dhoni has been involved with the Jharkhand team in three Ranji Trophy games. He sat through the matches as if he was playing those games. Even when he isn’t travelling with the Jharkhand team, he doesn’t miss a single training session. It doesn’t matter if he is at home or away from home. Dhoni doesn’t like losing momentum and always in match mode in the nets.”
