MS Dhoni's message after receiving Padma Bhushan award will win your heart

The former Indian skipper MS Dhoni was conferred with Padma Bhushan award on Monday at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He received the country’s third highest civilian award from President of India Ramnath Kovind. Apart from Dhoni, even the multiple billiards world champion Pankaj Advani was honoured with the same award for his extraordinary achievements. However, Dhoni has come up with a message on social media after being honoured which is winning the hearts of his die-hard fans all over the world.

Dhoni holds the rank of Honorary Lieutenant Colonel and he wore the official uniform Territorial Army for the ceremony which his fans absolutely loved. He never misses the chance of respecting the army and even marched like an Army man when his name was announced. It was only fitting that the most loved Indian cricketer was honoured with the award on the seventh anniversary of India’s historic World Cup victory. Dhoni had won it for the country with a heroic knock of 91* runs in a steep chase against Sri Lanka.

Dhoni’s message

MS Dhoni, on Tuesday, took to social media website Instagram to express his feelings after receiving Padma Bhushan award at the hands of the respected President of India. He cleared that the excitement increased ten folds while being honoured in the Army uniform. He thanked all of them and their families for their sacrifices only for the common people to live happily.

Dhoni posted the picture of him receiving the award and captioned it as, “An honour to get the Padma Bhushan and receiving it in Uniform increases the excitement ten folds.thanks to all the Men and Women in Uniform and their families for the Sacrifices they make so that all of us could enjoy our Constitutional Rights.Jai Hind.”

Dhoni is currently gearing up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) where he will lead Chennai Super Kings as they will play their first match against Mumbai Indians.
