Cape Town Blitz got out bit of a jail in their opening match against defending champions Jozi Stars. Dale Steyn’s masterful spell of bowling at the death bailed them out. The team, led by Quinton de Kock, is next set to lock horns with the Paarl Rocks in the first of Sunday’s doubleheader at the Boland Park. Last season, the Rocks managed to defeat the Blitz at home by five wickets.
The Rocks, last time around, made it to the Eliminator after finishing third with five wins from 10 matches. But their match against the Stars were washed off due to rain. Hence, the Rocks were knocked out on accounts of finishing below the Stars in the round-robin stage of the MSL. In the last edition of the T20 league, the Rocks scripted victory in three out of their five matches at home.
