Tshwane Spartans haven’t had the best of seasons thus far in the ongoing edition of the Mzansi Super League (MSL). They are currently languishing at the bottom of the points table and have plenty of work to do in order to finish among the top three teams. Moreover, luck hasn’t smiled on them either as the Duckworth Lewis Stern (DLS) method has robbed them off a couple of victories.

The franchise now needs to win a majority of their matches to have any chance of progressing to the next round. On the contrary, Jozi Stars are hanging midway in the table with one victory from three matches. They lost their last match against Cape Town Blitz by 60 runs and would want to get back to winning ways. The two teams are now set to cross swords at SuperSport Park in Centurion.

Pitch

The weather at the venue has been a tad indifferent over the past few days. Hence, there will be chances of rain tomorrow. However, both teams won’t want for that to happen as the same could land them in deep water. Bearing in mind the tricks and characteristics of the pitch and also the fact that rain could interrupt, teams would want to bowl first after winning the toss.

Tony de Zorzi and wicketkeeper-batsman Gihahn Cloete will open the batting with Theunis de Bruyn to follow. The onus would also be on AB de Villiers to guide his team to a substantial score. Left-hander Dean Elgar would bat at number five with the hulk-like Robbie Frylinck to come in next in the lineup. Sean Williams and Jeevan Mendis would have their roles to play as well.

The likes of Rabada, Beuran Hendricks, Olivier and Leie are the bowlers in the lineup.
