The ball has kept rolling in the ongoing Mzansi Super League (MSL) as the sixth match will be played between Tshwane Spartans and Durban Heat. Both the teams lost their opening match of the season while the Spartans, led by AB de Villiers, are already on the board with a narrowest possible win in the second game. Heat would also be keen to get two points in this encounter in front of the home crowd.
Spartans bowling attack has been on the receiving end in both their games so far. After conceding more than 180 in the first match, they almost botched up the defence of 203 runs only for Dean Elgar to make an impressive save at the boundary in the last over. Most probably the players who have returned from Australia tour will be joining the squad and in that case, Lungi Ngidi will bolster them.
In case of the Heat, the hosts, their batting collapsed in the previous game and David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen will be available now for selection. Though Temba Bavuma and Albie Morkel are in excellent form and if they get stuck in the middle, it might be curtains for any opposition.
Team Combinations
Durban Heat
The home side will most likely have their top players Miller and Klaasen in the line-up which serves as a huge boost for them. Sarel Erwee and Temba Bavuma who bagged ducks in the previous game will make way for them. The rest of the team will be the same as the bowlers did a decent job in defending the middling total only to lose it in the last over. Keshav Maharaj will be key for them who bowled exceptionally well and picked three wickets only for 24 runs.
Probable XI: Morne van Wyk (wk), Hashim Amla, Heinrich Klaasen, David Miller, Khaya Zondo, Albie Morkel (c), Vernon Philander, Prenelan Subrayen, Kyle Abbott, Marchant de Lange, Keshav Maharaj.
Tshawne Spartans
Spartans have received a much needed boost to their bowling attack with the possibility of Ngidi playing the next game. Also the Zimbabwean duo Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams are available for selection as they reached the rainbow nation recently. There will be changes to their line-up as Rilee Rossouw has left the league to play in the T10 league in the UAE.
Raza will straight away replace him in the line-up and adds more value while Sean Williams can come in place of Dean Elgar who hasn’t done much in the last couple of matches.
Probable XI: Gihahn Cloete (wk), Theunis de Bruyn, AB de Villiers, Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Jeevan Mendis, Tony de Zorzi, Rory Kleinveldt, Robbie Frylinck, Andrew Birch, Lutho Sipamla/Lungi Ngidi.
Probable Top Performers
