Taking the route of franchises like Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals, Mumbai Indians have also decided to ask fans to suggest names of players who should play for them in 2019. The three-time champions are one of the strongest teams in the IPL, and also one with a strong fan base. Taking to Twitter, the franchise asked the MI fans to send in their opinions and suggestions ahead of the IPL 2019 auctions. They wrote, ‘ Who should Hop onto the Bus’ leaving the fans to answer.

The suggestions

The fans came up with a number of suggestions. While some advised that they should find uncapped bowling talent, others want the old international faces in the team to be swapped with new ones. Shaun Marsh and Yuvraj Singh were among the names that fans want in the team for the upcoming edition. Yuvraj, who celebrated his 37th birthday a day ago, is being voted for by a lot of fans on social media. The fans want the teams to back him and hope that the veteran all-rounder will repay the faith and make another big comeback.

With a base price of Rs 1 crore, Yuvraj will hope to find a new team in a bid to revive his cricketing career for one last time. As many as 346 players will go under the hammer on December 18 in Jaipur. Mumbai Indians retained skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, the Pandya brothers along with Ben Cutting, Kieron Pollard, and Mitchell McClenaghan.

Expect franchises to eye the services of Yuvraj as several players might not play the entire season of IPL 12 due to the ICC World Cup 2019. The showpiece event starts approximately a couple of weeks after IPL, due to which the Indian and foreign players may not play in order to prevent themselves from any injury. Yuvraj last played for Preity Zinta co-owned Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the 2018 edition, where he scored just 65 runs in eight matches.
